Good to know - important information about your stay at the 4*-Hotel Die Barbara…

You like to be well informed before you start your ski vacation or summer vacation? No problem! We provide you with all the important information here. Of course, you can also contact our reception at any time. Just call or send an email.
Important Information
  • Check-in: Your room, suite, or apartment will be available starting on the day of arrival from 3 PM. If you plan to arrive after 6 PM, please let us know in advance.
  • Check-out: Please vacate your room, suite, or apartment as well as your reserved parking space by 10 AM at the latest. Your key card will be automatically deactivated; please return it at the reception.
  • BAR.bara: Visit the BAR.bara daily from 8 AM. The regular closing time is at 1:00 AM - but it may vary at any time. 
  • Parking: Our parking spaces are charged and require reservation. You can reserve them directly when booking, which we strongly recommend as it may be quite difficult to find a parking space otherwise. Your reserved parking space will be available from 3 PM on the day of arrival - the parking space must be vacated by 10 AM upon departure.
  • Reservation: You can easily make your booking through our online booking system, or simply send us your individual booking inquiries at info@diebarbara.at. We will then send you a suitable offer with a booking link, and once you confirm the offer, you will receive a booking confirmation with all information regarding the deposit and cancellation conditions.
    IMPORTANT: The booking is only valid upon timely payment of the required deposit.
  • WLAN: Our high-speed WLAN is free throughout the hotel.
  • Wellness: Our sauna area is accessible to you daily from 4 PM to 8 PM free of charge (in summer, rather upon request).

Hotel die Barbara is located directly at the Planai. Access to the ski area is only a few steps away – making both winter and summer adventures easy to start without long distances.

  • How far is Schladming town centre from the hotel?
Schladming town centre can easily be reached on foot. Restaurants, cafés and shopping facilities are only a few minutes away.

  • Is Schladming train station within walking distance?
Yes, Schladming train station can be reached within approximately 10–15 minutes on foot, making for a relaxed arrival – even without a car.

  • From what time is check-in available at Hotel die Barbara?
Rooms and reserved parking spaces are available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. If arriving after 6:00 pm, we kindly ask for a short notice.

  • Until what time is check-out possible?
Rooms and reserved parking spaces must be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure.

  • What options are available for early arrivals?
Guests arriving early in Schladming are welcome to use our luggage storage and changing room facilities. Until check-in, public parking is available at the Planai opposite the hotel (during cable car operating hours) or in the town centre.

  • What is available after check-out?
Guests who would like to enjoy their last holiday day a little longer are welcome to use the luggage room, changing facilities and guest shower.
Breakfast & Enjoyment
  • Is breakfast available on the day of arrival?
Yes, breakfast on the day of arrival can be added directly at reception and is a perfect way to start the holiday. The price is €25.00 per adult and €12.50 for children aged 5–10 years. Breakfast is free of charge for children under 5 years.

  • Is dinner available at Hotel die Barbara?
Hotel die Barbara offers accommodation with breakfast only. Thanks to the central location in Schladming, numerous restaurants are within walking distance.

  • When is BAR.bara open?
BAR.bara is open daily from 8:00 am. Regular closing time is 1:00 am, although this may vary depending on operations. Current opening hours, news and events can always be found on our website and Instagram.

Yes, laundry can be handed in at the hotel. The cost is €14.00 per wash load.

  • When is the wellness area open?
The sauna area is open daily from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is free of charge for hotel guests. During summer, use is available on request.

  • Are dogs welcome at Hotel die Barbara?
Dogs are welcome during the summer season. Unfortunately, dogs cannot be accommodated during winter. A fee of €30.00 per night applies. Please bring your own dog bed, food and food bowl.

  • How does booking at Hotel die Barbara work?
Bookings can be made directly online or by request. After confirmation, all details regarding deposits and cancellation conditions will be sent.

  • What cancellation policies apply at Hotel die Barbara?
Cancellation is free of charge up to 61 days before arrival. After that, staggered cancellation fees apply. During summer, different conditions may apply depending on package or rate. The applicable cancellation conditions are listed in the offer or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (AGBH) apply.

Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartments.

  • Is there a final cleaning fee for the Barbara Apartments?
No, there is no final cleaning fee. Instead, a security deposit of €500.00 will be blocked on the credit card during the stay.

  • Can breakfast be booked when staying at the apartments?
Yes, guests of the Barbara Apartments are welcome to book breakfast at the B&B Hotel. Alternatively, our bread delivery service provides fresh bread and pastries directly to the apartment door.

  • What parking options are available at the Barbara Apartments?
Garage and outdoor parking spaces are available directly at the apartment building. All parking spaces are subject to charges and reservation. If fully booked, additional parking is available at the P3 parking area, approximately a three-minute walk away. These spaces can also be booked directly through the hotel.
